experience

Thanks to John from New York for the recent voicemail about the ridiculous shopping going on during Black Friday.

Are you living through other people? Do you read autobiographies of famous dead folks and tell yourself how awesome they were?
When are you going to start writing your own chapters? Will you leave your mark in the sands of time?

The only experience I’m interested in having is my own. It’s the only one you should be excited about too. Read all the books you want about what it’s like to live, do, be, have, become. Until you’ve been there, done that, been that, you’re empty of it.

Quote:
“Even when one truly goes with the flow one had better touch shore or bottom once in a while to be sure one isn’t just floating in the stagnant waters of secure beliefs.” – John C. Lilly

What does it mean to be truly selfish? How does it make the world a better place?
Why does organized religion teach it as an evil? What is self murder?

The importance of understanding the difference between I and We. Why I and self puts you in the mirror looking at the place where all change starts, with you.

If more of us would get off our collective asses and stop depending on others to change the world, this would be a much better place to live.

consciousness

The State of Tennessee
The State of California

How about The State of Being?
The State of Consciousness?
The State of You?

What state are you in?
What state of mind are you in?

“Don’t bother setting up free republics or moving to a country which offers more liberties. Simply declare yourself to be an independent state. Do not involve and coerce others. This is the only way we will effect a proper revolution. Once each of us recognizes our own freedom and our own responsibility, then the chains that bind us will fall away. To be free from bad manners, we have to be mannerly ourselves, and then we have to ignore the bad manners in others.”

if you could
Voicemail from Anderson in Boston, MA

What should you be doing?
What could you be doing?
What’s the difference?

The world (should), convention, tradition, routine, the past.
The spirit (could), potential, possibility, power, the now.

The great dichotomy
dichotomy – a division or contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different.

The great lobotomy
Cut out of your life what you think you should be doing and start doing what you could be doing.
What you want to do.
What you love to do.

Debt can be an excuse for not living your life.
I can’t, I’ve got bills.
When I get the kids thru college, then…..
When we pay the house off, then…..
When I get that raise/promotion, then….
Being debt free, removes the excuses. If you want it to.

Fear makes you the observer and not the participant. TV allows you to watch people do things extremely well instead of doing them badly yourself. Thank you Tom Hodgkinson

mountain

How do you:
Eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Move a mountain? One truck load of dirt at a time.
How do you speak? One word at at time. Try speaking two words at the same time. Not happening.
How do we breathe? One breath at a time. Try taking two breaths at the same time. Impossible.

Paying off Debt:
Start with the smallest balance first.
Sometimes we start w/biggest first, not this time. Why?

We’re addicted to big, fast, sweeping change. The illusion of it.
Slow, steady, consistency is what wins the day.

Thank you Tim Ferriss for today’s podcast title. He’s the author of The 4-Hour Work Week.

If asked “What Do You Do?” if someone is anything less than genuinely sincere, he replies “I”m a Drug Dealer.” It ends the conversation quickly.

Ask a new question. “How Do I Do?” or “How Do I Be?”

I normally talk about financial health. This is about physical health.

How regular are you? What I mean is how often do you take a crap every day? Hmmm…. kinda personal isn’t it? Yes it is. And it’s kinda important too. So important in fact that I’m willing to risk offending you. And there’s a good chance if the question bothers you, you’re probably not regular.

Dr. Schulze is one of the foremost authorities on Natural Healing and Herbal Medicines in the world. In his early years of medical training he traveled the world and studied how people poop.

He reminds us we should be having 2 to 3 bowel movements a day. And he goes so far as to say if you’re spending more than 2 minutes on the toilet, you’re constipated. Stop reading books and newspapers in there folks. I spend as little time on the can as possible. Not a place I care to hang around. Come on. It’s a waste dumping station, remember? It’s not a library.

I hate to say it America but you’re backed up. You heard me. You’re constipated. If you’re eating 3 meals a day, that’s 21 meals a week. And you’re having a bowel movement once every 3 days? Oh, I’m sorry. You said you’re having a bowel movement once a week?

You’re behind. No pun intended. You’ve got some catching up to do in the doo doo department. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to about this subject who think one bowel movement every 3 to 7 days is normal! Been that way their whole life. If that’s the case you’re colon is asleep and you need to wake it up.

Approximately 1 million people die each year in America from heart disease. And another 1 million die each year of cancer. Two of those statistics were my parents. Both died of cancer 13 months apart.

These 2 million deaths are largely attributed to diet and can be prevented. We are literally digging our own graves with our forks people. The best way to change your life in every area is to change what you eat.

X-mas time 2012 I stopped eating meat. For 30 days I quit meat, dairy, and bread cold turkey. What happened? I had to re-size my wedding ring from a 10 to a 9. I had to have two links taken out of my watch. I’ve now been meat free for nearly 5 months. I do eat bread and cheese occasionally but I don’t got out of my way to do it. The first time I went meatless was in 2006 for 11 months.

I drink as much distilled water each day as I can remember to. 1 gallon a day is optimal. 1/2 a gallon is easier. It’s the purest water on the planet. Our bodies are largely water. Give them what they need to cleanse, detoxify, and flush out all the poison we’ve been putting into them all our lives.

Nothing quite as personal as what you eat each day. It’s the fuel that keeps you alive. Change what you eat and your life will do nothing but get better. So to go #2 I recommend you take #1. Dr. Schulze’s Intestinal Formula #1. Totally herbal, non-addictive. Less than $25 a bottle. Take them daily. They’re like weight lifting for your colon. They wake your colon up so it can do the work it’s meant to do. Move waste out of your body.

Stop spending your hard earned money on fad diets. They’re designed so you’ll fail. Temporary weight loss followed by more weight gain. If fad diets worked people wouldn’t keep going back for more would they? They’re designed to fail so you become a repeat customer. Corporate greed based on gluttony.

This isn’t meant to be medical advice. If you want that, talk to a doctor. Take charge of your own health. Stop trying to buy it and outsource it to “experts.” Become the one and only expert on you!
